Grizzly Youth Wrestling Competed Their First Ever Dual Meet

Last Wednesday (January 14th) marked a historic moment for Grizzly Youth Wrestling as they competed in their first ever dual meet against West Springfield Youth Wrestling. With the bleachers packed with parents and fans, our athletes had the honor of opening the night for the high school matchup between Central and West Springfield high schools. Fifteen matches were scheduled, and the Grizzlies set the tone early, earning 11 victories and a final score of 61-24. More importantly, the kids had fun, supported one another, and showed great sportsmanship- finishing the night with handshakes and congratulations on both sides. As always, the focus remains the same: it’s not about wins and losses, but about being humble, showing up, and giving your best effort.
